Glitter Winter / Eye Candy - February 2011

Full Moon Midnight Sky by Camomile Hixon

Manhattan pop artist Camomile Hixon conjured the antidote for winter doldrums at FVAC. An exhibition and installation of Hixon's inimitable glitter paintings in a sparkling winter wonderland setting.

The exhibition is the first of several innovative programs the FVAC plans to mark its 35th sparkling year of fostering connections between artists and the public.

The H'Art of Art - A Celebration of Creativity in Children's Lives
This exhibit features artwork from Connecticut Children's Medical Center patients coupled with Bumblebug's custom children's furnishings. Miss Olivia, FVAC youth instructor and owner of Bumblebug, hosts this fundraising event to benefit the the ArtReach program at the Medial Center.

Exhibit Dates: June 1 -16, 2009.  Opening receptions feature a silent auction, an interactive childrens art activity, refreshments, and live music.
